Create time stamp

Many a times when you want to enter the date in a sheet, you would do it manually by using =today() or =now().  However these are volatile as this date/time will change when the sheet is re-calculated or even when you open the file the next time.

However, if you want the entry to be static, do the following -

Press CTRL+ ; to enter the current date or CTRL+SHIFT+: to insert the current time

This date/time will not change the next time you open the file or when the sheet re-calculates.
