Double click on the little button available on top of right scroll bar to create a horizonttal split
and,
Double click on the little button available on right of bottom scroll bar to create a vertical split
(see image to have more idea on the location of this little box)
Split would be created at selcted cell's row or column and if you want to remove the split, just double click it again.
