In this article, we will learn to delete or remove comments in Excel cells.
Comments in Excel to remind ourselves and inform someone else about what the cell contains. To add the comment in a cell, Excel 2016 provides the insert Comment function. After inserting the comment it is displayed with little red triangles.
How to insert comment on the cell?
Go to Review > New Comment
Comment box appears on the selected cell. You can write in the yellow bow.
Letβs delete some comments on the table shown below
All the yellow box are the comments on the sheet.
Select the cells where you want to delete comment. In this case,we select the sheet with CTRL + A.
Go to Review > Delete
Click Delete to remove the comments
Now our worksheet is free of comments.

Like Rishi Shaw above I find the delete button is disabled when all cells are selected
Mark entire worksheet
Under Review -> Comments => click Delete
That will clear all comments on a work

Thank you for the very helpful tip. The procedure would also be useful for obtaining other cell information and editing.
Just select the whole sheet.
Top left corner of your sheet. There where you select the whole workbook cells.
Then right click, the delete comment. π
@Franko unfortunately there is nothing any option on pressing right click to remove or delete comments when you select Top left corner of your sheet. There where you select the whole workbook cells. (till 2013)
only there is a option to clear contents (which clear all contents)
