Adding color to sheet tabs has become very easy. Starting from Excel 2002, this task can be easily accomplished. For example, you could make the tabs of related sheets the same color.
Right click on the tab and choose Tab Color. This will change the color of the sheet tab.
To remove the color from the sheet tab, follow the same procedure and choose the No Color option. See picture below.
