How to Insert chart in Microsoft Excel 2007

In this article, we are going to learn how to insert a chart on the basis of Pivot table in Microsoft Excel 2007.

Before inserting the chart, we will create pivot table and then we will learn about inserting the chart.

Let’s take an example and understand:-

We have Product’s revenue data, region wise and City wise.

Follow below steps to insert chart:-

  • Select the data range

  • Go to Insert tab > Under Tables group > Click on PivotTable

  • Create Pivot table dialog box will appear.

  • Click on OK, New sheet will get inserted with the PivotTable field list.

  • Drag the Product in Row labels and drag total revenue in values field.

In above image, you can see the summary of product.

 

Now we will Insert the Chart. Follow below steps:-

  • Go to Option tab > in Tools group > Click on Pivot chart.

  • Insert chart dialog box will appear.

  • Select any chart and click on OK.
  • Chart will get inserted.
