How to Print Non-Contiguous Areas in Excel

In this article, we will learn How to Print Non-Contiguous Areas in Excel.

Scenario:

Working with Printing Excel sheets, Excel does not allow you to print multiple ranges or columns of a sheet on page. For example if you need to print only partial data on a sheet which is not at one place. This problem is stated as printing non contiguous rows, columns or any part of the sheet.

Print Area option in Excel

Select the rows, columns or any part of data hold control key and select parts using mouse.

Go to Page Layout > Print Area > Set Print Area.

Now to confirm your selected cells Go to View > Page Break preview

Example :

All of these might be confusing to understand. Let's understand how to use the function using an example. Here we have some data and we only need to print row 5 to row 10. Follow the steps to remember.

First select the cells holding the control key and selecting cells one by one as shown below.

Now Go to Page Layout > Print Area > Set Print Area.

Select Page layout option and your print area will be displayed as shown below.

You can see clearly Page 1, Page 2 and page 3 which will be printed

Note: Select the label row also to print on the page. Without labels there is no meaning of selected data.
