Limiting the Movement in a Protected Sheet in Microsoft Excel 2010

To limit the movement in a protected sheet, follow below given steps:-

  • Go to Developer tab.
  • Click on Properties under the Controls group.
  • Properties dialog box will appear.

  • In Enable selection, three are three options:-
  • xlNoRestrictions: In a protected sheet, selection is allowed for both locked and unlocked cells.

  • xlUnLockedCells: In a protected sheet, selection is allowed for unlocked cells only.

  • xlNoSelection: In a protected sheet, selection is not allowed for either locked or unlocked cells.

You can select as per the requirement.
