About Dashboard:
This dashboard shows company’s financial summary on industry actual revenue, revenue by region, estimated revenue.
In today’s world, there is a huge pressure on the management to provide faster and transparent information, which helps in driving company’s performance. It tracks financial data, which helps to see the growth from various perspective of the industry.
There are several ways in which you can visualize financial data to understand the company’s goal. In October, ExcelForum team launched a dashboard competition in which you were asked to visualize sample data. The challenge has generated a huge thrill around the community and fetched 118 incredible entries.
Thanks everyone for participating and making this a huge learning experience for everyone. Excel Forum team has learned several useful dashboard and charting tricks.
In this article, we will show you the steps on how to create this dashboard.

We have divided this dashboard into 3 sections of information. Let us take a look at each one separately.
Section1:
In this dashboard,actual revenue by region is shown through spark lines, formulas & charts.
Column D shows the growth of actual revenue by quarter.
In column F, HIT & MISS estimate has been shown in charts.
In column H, the percentage of total sales has been calculated.
In column J, Actual as a percentage of Estimate is calculated.
Section2:
The below snapshot will help you in understanding how the Industry works.
The sparkline depicts the growth in actual revenue for the year 2003-2008 by quarter.
Column F shows the trend of HIT & MISS estimate has been shown in charts by Industry
In column H, the percentage of total sales has been calculated by Industry.
In column J, Actual as a percentage of Estimate is calculated by Industry.
Similarly,the below charts provide information product-wise& region-wise.
Section3:
The below chart is showing industry revenue by region in thousand dollars for all across the globe for Consumer goods, Finance, Healthcare, Industrial goods & others.
Using this dashboard we can get a clear view of the financial industry;and thus we can get the information from various points of view.
