About Dashboard:
This dashboard shows company’s sales by region, product to customer, customer to product& sales analysis month-wise.
If you want to track conversion rate by team, you’ll be able to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the sales process. The key focus of this dashboard is to show sales credibility& management visibility.
There are several ways in which you can visualize sales data to understand the market trends and sales performance. In October, Excel Forum team launched a dashboard, competing in which you are asked to visualize data using sample data. The challenge has generated a huge thrill around the community and fetched 118 incredible entries.
Thanks everyone for participating and making this a huge learning experience for everyone. Excel Forum team has learned several useful dashboard and charting tricks.
In this article, we will show you the steps on how to create this dashboard.
Let us see how the Dashboard made by Raghuma Reddy looks:
We have divided this dashboard into 8 sections of information. Let us take a look at each one separately.
Section1:
This section talks on showing sales performance by region.
The following picture lets you select any specific region or all of them & show the total sales by sales person. The green flag indicates the top performer among sales person & red flag shows the least performer of the team & same is shown in the chart.
Section2:
The below snapshot is a line chart with markers showing sales performance for region month-wise. There is a scrollbar & table, both are interactive & can be used to track the sales for other months.
As we scroll towards right, both the chart & table data will be dynamically updated. At any given point of time, the chart & table will show 9 months of sales performance.
Section3:
The following picture will show the sales performance quarter-wise for the year 2011 & 2012. There is also scrollbar technique, which will dynamically update the chart & table.
There is another way to show a salesperson’s corresponding data getting updated.If we click on any person then it will show the sale done by that person, product & region.
Section4:
This section will show the product sale customer-wise.
The dropdown list gives the flexibility to select the product & show the total sales customer-wise. The green flag indicates the top budget customer, while red flag indicates the low budget customer. The same information can be seen in the chart.
Section5:
The following picture will help you in comparing two products at a time for all the customers. There is conditional formatting technique, used to depict the increase & decrease with up & down arrows.
The green flag shows the top increased difference from one product to another, while red flag helps in identifying the top decreased difference from one product to another.
The two dropdowns can be used to compare two products at a time.
Section6:
This section will show the customer sale product-wise.
The dropdown list gives the flexibility to select the customer & show the total sales product-wise. The green flag indicates the top sold product, while red flag indicates the ‘least sold product. The same information can be seen in the chart.
Section7:
The following picture will help you in comparing two customers at an amount of time for all the products. There is conditional formatting technique, used to depict the increase & decrease with up & down arrows.
The green flag shows the top increased difference from one customer to another, while red flag helps in identifying the top decreased difference from one customer to another.
The two dropdowns can be used to compare two customer’s sale at a time.
Section8:
The following section is showing sales analysis through line chart, table & scrollbar. The scrollbar will dynamically update the sales month-wise & product-wise.
Using this dashboard we can get a clear view of the Sales industry and thus we can get the information from various points of view.
